Board of Directors Position Overview

Leaders are needed to continue the strategic direction of AWT. The role of the board is to set the course of the organization; the board is visionary.

All volunteers and nominees for the AWT Board of Directors must be from Water Treatment Company (WTC) member firms in good standing. If you are interested in serving, please volunteer, and if you know of someone who would be a good fit for the board, please nominate them.

When considering serving on the board, note that being a board member can present great opportunities, such as the ability to:

  • Network with more of your peers from companies around the world
  • Have a direct impact on the future direction of the water treatment industry
  • Enhance your own leadership skills

Serving as a member of the Board of Directors is a three-year commitment. All candidates must be willing and able to attend three board meetings per year. The candidate must also be willing to serve as a liaison to a maximum of three AWT committees, which requires participating in committee conference calls and providing reports to the board. Board members do not receive a salary or payment for these services; however, they are reimbursed for expenses to attend the board meetings.
