Presentation Description:
You’ve heard it said before that “it’s better to give than receive.” That’s true and it’s also relevant to you, your team, and your bottom line. Many professionals and businesses in the water treatment community give their time and resources to support clean water organizations and we’ve captured over 20 stories of AWT members who have seen the benefits firsthand.
Today, over 800 million people live without access to clean water and there are many organizations working to bring that number to zero by the year 2030. What if you were able to raise your hand in the year 2030 and say you had a part in ending the global water crisis? Well, you can, and we’ll show you both how and why.
With a comprehensive survey of AWT members and through personal stories, you’ll learn how giving to clean water organizations and inviting others to give their time and resources can:
- Improve your health and reduce stress
- Strengthen relationships in your family and business
- Attract and retain talented professionals in the next generation
- Broaden your professional network and expand your impact
If you are curious about what others are doing to support water charity work, wondering how you can get involved in helping people with clean water, or looking for ways to engage your employees or network in a fresh way, then you won’t want to miss this session.
One of the greatest challenges facing the water treatment industry is attracting, developing, and retaining the next generation of water professionals, and we believe that one of our best opportunities as an industry is this very invitation to give and be a part of solving big problems in the world with water. And we have both the personal experiences of several AWT members, as well as the statistics to support this claim.
It may seem counter-intuitive at first, but statistics based in the groundbreaking research by Gallup show that both Employee Engagement & Wellbeing are essential drivers of key business outcomes such as revenue growth, profit, and customer retention. And both drivers of Engagement & Wellbeing are positively correlated to experiences like giving to causes like ending the global water crisis.
So join us, your peers, and the AWT community at this session to learn how you can be a part of helping solve the global water crisis by 2030, and why it's one of the best things you can do for yourself, your team, and your bottom line.
