Title: Development of uniquely tagged scale inhibitors
Learner Objectives:
Share the developmental efforts of a unique and robust tagged polymer system for enhanced scale control in cooling waters.
Content/Topic Outline:
Dow ahs developed a unique tagged polymer for scale control application in cooling waters and will share:
Product Characteristics such as biocide compatibility and product stability
Scale inhibitor performance
Lab and field testing resukts
Presenter:
Lizbeth Rostro
Presentation Description:
The control of scale is important for many industrial applications and monitoring and automation technologies enable enhanced scale inhibition control. By monitoring the level of scale inhibitor in the system and the propensity for scale to form systems such as cooling towers can be properly controlled. This will ensure that scale formation is minimized while using the optimal amount of scale inhibitor. Dow has developed a unique tagged polymer for scale control application in cooling towers that can be traced. Product characteristics such as biocide compatibility and scale inhibition will be presented. In addition, lab and field testing data will be shared on the use of the product.
