Hollywood, Florida is nicknamed the "Diamond of the Gold Coast". Founded in 1925 and located in Broward County, Hollywood is the tenth largest city in Florida. It is bordered to the north by Fort Lauderdale and is a short drive from Miami.
Hollywood's historic downtown area is characterized by quaint sidewalk cafés, bricklined walks, and six blocks of unique boutiques, shops, art galleries and dozens of excellent restaurants. Just minutes from the beach, the downtown district is on the National Register of Historic Places and is the backdrop for year round festivals, street markets and entertainment.
