Do you want to start on the road to certification, but can’t make it to the Annual Convention or one of the two Technical Training Seminars? Take the computer-based exam close to home. Candidates are able to select locations in the Pearson Vue system at which to take the CWT exam.

Scheduling for a computer based exam

Exam appointments may be made up to one business day in advance. Locations are available on a first-come first-serve basis. You will be required to pay an examination testing fee to Pearson VUE at the time of scheduling. Please note that if you are a not an AWT member or outside of the U.S. There may be an additional fee.

Call the AWT office at (240) 404-6477 to get your Candidate ID. 24 hours after you receive your Candidate ID, follow the steps below to schedule your exam.

After you schedule your exam, Pearson VUE will send you a confirmation email listing your exam date, your exam time, the address and phone number of the test center, and directions to the test center.

First-time test takers must create a Pearson VUE Web account. Please note that account activation may require up to 24 hours. You will be notified by email when your Pearson VUE account is activated.
