Certification
The Certified Water Technologist (CWT) program represents the highest professional credential in the industrial and commercial water treatment field. It provides professional recognition for individuals involved in water treatment and technology to indicate to the general public, co-workers, employers and others that an individual has achieved a high level of experience, knowledge and education in the industry. The CWT designation assures that water professionals possess a core body of knowledge and have extensive professional experience in all aspects of water treatment.

Attaining your CWT is a great way to achieve a new level of professional growth and recognition. Find out Why Certification Matters.

Complete information about the Certification program can be found in our CWT Candidate Handbook. Candidates should also read the Code of Ethics all CWTs must sign.

The CWT exam is officially scheduled three times a year; at the conclusion of each Technical Training Seminar and at the Annual Convention. Can't make it to one of those events? Don't let that stop you from starting on the path to becoming a CWT. We now offer remote testing.
